Isoprostane
Isoprostane is a group of substances that are formed during the oxidative attack on cell lipids in the human body.
Some isoprostanes are therefore used to detect the antioxidant effect of ingested foods (including dietary supplements) and drugs. This detection is one of the few that can prove the actual antioxidant effect (and not just the theoretical antioxidant potential) of a food or drug.
Institut Kurz GmbH offers the analysis of foods and medicines for their antioxidant effect using isoprostane analysis.
